Fire Investigation Results Released in Hsinchu's Qingkong Hui Excluding Charging Piles as Cause, Pointing to 'Short Circuit in Wiring'

On June 27, 2024, the fire investigation results were released for the fire at Hsinchu's Qingkong Hui building. Hsinchu City Government confirmed that the fire, which tragically resulted in the deaths of two firefighters, was not caused by charging piles or wiring. Instead, it was determined that a short circuit in the wiring was more likely the cause. Investigations pointed to the wiring in the building's west side pipe space as the origin of the fire.
