A female corpse was found floating in the Zhuoshui River section of Jiji River in Nantou County on the afternoon of the 27th. After a 3-hour retrieval operation in the rain by local authorities, the body was brought ashore but was badly swollen and unrecognizable. Further DNA testing is needed to determine the identity and cause of death. Local residents had reported a woman missing for 3 days, and it is suspected to be related to the retrieved body, which is difficult to identify due to its condition.
