Fireworks sales decline after years of explosive growth

Reported 9 months ago

Fireworks sales in the U.S. have plummeted from a peak of almost $600 million in 2022 to an estimated $350 million in 2024. The decrease is attributed to the post-pandemic shift in consumer habits, with a surge in fireworks use during COVID-19 lockdowns now returning to pre-pandemic levels. Factors such as the return of public displays, increased prices due to inflation, and rising labor costs at fireworks stands have contributed to the decline in fireworks consumption since the pandemic peak.
