South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 17th that in accordance with an agreement reached between South Korea and China in May, the two countries would hold the first round of diplomatic and security dialogue on the 18th. The meeting will be chaired by South Korean Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Hong-gyun and Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong, with senior defense officials from both sides also attending. The dialogue is expected to cover bilateral relations, the Korean Peninsula issue, regional and international situations, and may include discussions on Putin's visit to North Korea.
