In response to reports of Huang Kuo-chang potentially running for New Taipei City mayor and joining the Kuomintang (KMT), KMT Taipei City councilor Liu Caiwei expressed her willingness to be the first to oppose Huang representing the KMT in the mayoral race and joining the party. She emphasized that KMT supporters will not likely support Huang due to his past criticisms of the party. Liu also pointed out that any potential blue-green cooperation requires discussion and consensus. The situation currently appears more like Huang's wishful thinking, with uncertainties about New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih's stance. Liu highlighted that Huang asking about KMT's integration system shows his expectations for integration, but stressed the need for consensus in the process.
