On June 12, 2024, at 11:24 a.m., Guan Zhihan, popularly known as The Guan, was at his gym in Taichung City when it was allegedly rammed by two men in a car around 7 p.m. The police took the two men to the precinct, and Guan Zhihan also live-streamed, with over 15,000 viewers, even jokingly mentioning 'CTi News is live.' Guan instantly broadcasted CTi News for nearly 5 minutes upon hearing about it. The incident involved a 31-year-old man named Lin and a 34-year-old man, Xu, who were friends, and Lin allegedly rammed the gym due to work frustrations and emotional instability. Xu, who was sitting in the passenger seat during the incident, claimed he had asked Lin for assistance in cleaning up, but Lin suddenly lost control and rammed the building. The police are investigating Lin for alleged property damage, and Guan Zhihan clarified that Lin had interviewed on May 28, but due to his abnormal behavior, he wasn't hired. Guan highlighted the surveillance footage and criticized the calm demeanor of Lin and Xu after the ramming, prompting viewer outrage. Guan requested assistance from Taichung Mayor Lu Xiuyan to clarify the situation.
