The Ministry of Economic Affairs' Water Resources Agency has issued a flash flood alert for Xinyi District as the hourly rainfall has reached close to 70mm, prompting a level two caution. This is due to the vigorous development of convective cloud systems, with the Central Weather Bureau warning of short periods of heavy rain in various areas today, particularly in Taipei City with the possibility of localized heavy or torrential rain. Residents are urged to remain vigilant against possible flooding and other weather-related hazards in these regions.
