Due to intense afternoon convection influence, the Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain warning for 16 counties and cities nationwide, including a national-level alert for New Taipei City. Citizens reported severe flooding on Yongye Road in Xindian District, New Taipei City, with water levels almost turning the road into a river, causing motorcycles to be swept away and even trees posing danger on the road. Urging caution, a post on a Facebook group advised people to avoid the affected area. The rapid onset of heavy rain led to motorcycles being washed away and knocked down on the streets, creating a distressing scene.
