CTi News reported on June 15, 2024, at 8:15 a.m. that the popular tourist spot Xiaoliuqiu in Pingtung experienced a sudden island-wide power outage last night, causing panic among locals and tourists staying there as the entire island was in darkness with no street lights. While some areas have had power restored, the detailed reasons behind the outage and the number of affected households are yet to be clarified by Taiwan Power Company.
