According to SET News, on June 28, 2024, the convective cloud system developed vigorously and short-duration heavy rain is expected in various areas. Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Nantou County have already experienced heavy rainfall. At 7:35 pm, the CWB issued heavy rain and severe rainstorm alerts. Hualien County is expected to have localized heavy rain or heavy rain in the evening, with possibilities of heavy rain in Miaoli, Nantou, Yilan, Taitung, and Hsinchu mountainous areas as well. The rain is expected to continue into the late night.
