Due to continuous heavy rainfall, numerous areas in Pingjiang County, Yueyang City, Hunan Province, China have been flooded, breaking a 70-year record for water levels in the city center. The Ma La Wang Zi company, known for spicy snacks, announced a temporary halt in factory operations for 2 days due to water supply disruptions caused by the flooding. The county has experienced landslides, road closures, house collapses, and flooding, affecting over 360,000 people. Emergency response teams have been mobilized, and the factory anticipates being shut down for at least 5 days due to the impact on production caused by the flooding.
