Bruhat Soma, a 12-year-old from Tampa, Florida, emerged victorious in this year's Scripps National Spelling Bee after a tense spell-off final with fellow competitor Faizan Zaki. Bruhat, who had won three other spelling bees leading up to the prestigious event, correctly spelled 29 words in the tiebreaker to secure the championship, $50,000 cash prize, and trophy. The competition took place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Maryland, with 245 contestants from various regions participating. Bruhat's dedication to honing his spelling skills paid off, as he worked hard to maintain his winning streak and clinch the victory after months of practicing for the spell-off.
