Florida Man Finds Cocaine Bricks Worth 1.3 Billion Taiwan Dollars While Looking for Sea Turtle Nests on Beach

Reported 8 months ago

A tourist in Florida recently discovered over 70 pounds of cocaine bricks, valued at 400 million US dollars (approximately 1.3 billion Taiwan dollars), while searching for sea turtle nests on a beach in Nassau County, northeast Florida. The cocaine bricks were found wrapped in plastic with eagle motifs and are believed to have been intentionally thrown overboard from a smuggling vessel to evade coast guard inspection, washing ashore due to ocean currents. This discovery is particularly unusual for the area, as such large quantities of cocaine are rarely found on the northern coast of Florida.
