HT Securities pointed out that the shipment of foldable phones is lower than expected in 2024, but is expected to increase to 17.5 million units from 15 million in 2023. However, 2025 is projected to be a strong growth year for foldable phones, with New Ray (3376) securing major hinge orders for Apple's new foldable phone and Double Hong (3324) gaining ground in the industry. The prediction for 2025 is a shipment of 23.5 million foldable phones, with Samsung and Huawei holding 45% and 26% market share respectively. Apple plans to start production of a new 20.3-inch foldable device by the end of 2025, and a foldable iPhone is anticipated by the end of 2026.
