FTNN News Network reported on June 22, 2024, that the New Taipei City Health Bureau received reports from the Taipei City Health Bureau and the Xizhi Cathay General Hospital on suspected cases of food poisoning. Eight people, who had dined at the Hongwu Curry in Far Eastern Plaza on the evening of the 17th, experienced symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting and sought medical attention, with one person being hospitalized with a mild condition. The Health Bureau found unclean floors and uncovered ingredients during inspection, warning of potential fines if not rectified within a deadline. The investigation is ongoing with food items being sampled for testing, and the public is advised to follow food safety principles to prevent such incidents.
