Reported about 1 year ago
Ford is recalling over 550,000 F-150 pickup trucks from the 2014 model year in the U.S. due to a potential transmission problem where the transmissions can suddenly downshift to first gear regardless of the speed. The downshifting could lead to a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Ford plans to update the powertrain control software at no cost to owners and expects repairs to be available in the third quarter of the year.
