Reported about 1 year ago
Ford is recalling more than 550,000 F-150 pickup trucks from the 2014 model year in the U.S. because the transmissions can downshift unexpectedly to first gear, posing a risk of losing control and potential crashes. The issue is due to a lost signal between the transmission speed sensor and powertrain control computer, along with possible corrosion and connector pin problems. Owners will receive a software update for free, with repairs expected to be available in the third quarter of the year.
