An investigation by the Kaohsiung City Investigation Office of the Bureau of Investigation on June 13, 2024, revealed that a large quantity of methamphetamine worth millions was discovered hidden in packages of hair removal wax imported from France under the guise of international shopping. Three individuals, including a suspect surnamed Zhou, were arrested in Kaohsiung, along with the seizure of modified assault rifles. Following reports from customs, the Criminal Investigation Bureau cracked down on illegal activities where drugs were being smuggled internationally through online shopping, ultimately preventing harm to the community by promptly apprehending the suspects involved.
