The Preparatory Committee of the 'Professional Basketball New Alliance,' formed after the merger of PLG and T1 in Taiwan's basketball league, announced that starting from this season, foreign students will no longer be allowed to participate in the draft, sparking controversy. Eight foreign students who signed up for the draft this year released a joint statement criticizing the decision as 'rough and discriminatory.' In response, the New Alliance Committee stated that they would follow Taiwanese government regulations and organizational rules while wishing the foreign students success in Taiwanese student basketball competitions.
