After 15 years of reconstruction, the Alishan Forest Railway welcomed its full reopening in July with the launch of the new cultural and artistic tourism train 'Formosensis' on July 28. The train, nicknamed the 'Mobile Art Museum,' is made of cypress wood and features a unique design with special details like large cypress wood panels, elegant decor, and digital art frames showcasing Alishan landscapes and paintings by Chen Cheng-po. With its sophisticated design and advanced facilities like ergonomic leather seats and aviation-grade toilets, the Formosensis aims to provide passengers with a luxurious and immersive forest dining experience.
