Former CEO of Apple Sidra Drinks Company Found Guilty of Damaging Agricultural Land Despite Holding Only 0.024 Ping

On June 25, 2024, at 11:02 pm, the Supreme Court made a final ruling in the case of Sun Youying, the former CEO of the Atlantic Drinks Company known for producing 'Apple Sidra'. Sun was convicted of causing damage and sentenced to 7 months in prison for illegally clearing a piece of agricultural land in Taipei City, despite only owning a fraction of it. Despite Sun's defense that she was unaware of the agricultural activities on the land, the court rejected her appeal, affirming the lower court's decision.
