Former DPP legislator and current Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidential Office, Ho Chih-wei, lost his lawsuit against accusations by former Taipei City Councilor Wang Shih-chien and DPP legislator Chuang Jui-hsiung, who referred to him as a 'demon' and claimed his family introduced gangsters to the party. The court ruled that their comments were political in nature and did not constitute defamation. Ho had sought compensation of NT$6 million, but the court found in favor of Wang and Chuang, stating that the comments were made in good faith as part of the political discourse.
