Hu Xijin, former editor-in-chief of Global Times, entered the A-share market in June last year and recently shared his investment results and reflections on Weibo. He admitted to being overly optimistic and not understanding the volatile nature of the stock market. With a total loss of 74,597 RMB (approximately 310,000 NTD) out of his 700,000 RMB principal, he acknowledged being a novice in stock trading and considered himself just a small retail investor, acknowledging that his market operations were inexperienced without insider information, thus being one member of the 'leek' community. Hu emphasized the importance of prioritizing investors' interests for the sustainable development of the stock market.
