Former hedge fund trader Steven Marks, known for his time at SAC Capital and Cheyne Capital, found success in the food industry by co-founding Guzman y Gomez, a Mexican-themed fast-food chain in Australia. The chain, with 185 restaurants in Australia, has recently gone public on the Australian Securities Exchange with a valuation of A$2.2 billion. Marks, along with other investors including Guy Russo from McDonald’s Australia, has seen significant wealth accumulation from the success of the chain.
