Reported about 1 year ago

Former Mayor of Taoyuan and Chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation, Cheng Wen-tsang, was suddenly taken in by the Taoyuan Prosecutor's Office on July 5 on charges of corruption. After a marathon 16-hour interrogation, he was reportedly arrested and denied bail this morning, coincidentally on his 57th birthday.
