Former NFL first-round pick Billy Price announced his retirement at the age of 29 due to a pulmonary embolism he suffered in April, which required emergency surgery. The clot in his lungs led to his decision to retire as the risk of internal bleeding while on blood thinners was deemed too great. Price had a successful career in college football at Ohio State, winning a national championship and earning numerous accolades before being drafted in the first round in 2018. He played for several NFL teams during his five-season career before deciding to retire.
