Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a key figure in legal efforts to overturn the 2020 U.S. presidential election results after former President Donald Trump's defeat, had his law license revoked on July 2, 2024, by the New York State Appeals Court for repeatedly making false statements in the case. The court stated that Giuliani 'repeatedly, intentionally made false statements... [and] attacked and undermined the fairness of the national election process' regarding the 2020 presidential election without basis, actively contributing to post-election national dispute with no remorse.
