A man surnamed Ruan, a former captain in the People's Liberation Army Navy from mainland China, was arrested on June 9th for sneaking into Taiwan by speedboat and entering the Tamsui River area. Upon receiving the report, the Coast Guard Administration immediately arrived at the scene and apprehended him at the Fisherman's Wharf. The Shilin District Prosecutor's Office arrested Ruan after questioning and applied for detention based on violations of the Immigration Act.
