Former President Tsai Ing-wen received Former Legislative Speaker Wang Jin-ping at the Presidential Office, where she thanked the medical community for caring for earthquake victims. Wang, a heavyweight figure in the Blue Camp, departed for China to attend a religious event. Despite being associated with the Blue Camp, Wang has maintained a good relationship with the Green Camp and even met with President Tsai's appointees to seek guidance. In the past, Wang had expressed traditional beliefs by visiting his ancestors in Fujian amid his presidential aspirations. He has also discussed cross-strait relations and expressed the importance of seeking new consensus based on the 1992 Consensus to promote peace and development between the two sides.
