Former US National Security Advisor: If Trump Returns to the White House, Should Completely Decouple from China and Resume Nuclear Testing

Reported about 1 year ago

Former US National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien recently wrote in Foreign Affairs that if former President Trump wins the year-end presidential election, the US should completely decouple economically from China, redeploy all naval forces in the Asia-Pacific region, and resume nuclear testing. O'Brien believes the US should assist Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and further support Taiwan militarily, deploy more missile defense systems and fighter jets in the Indo-Pacific region, and redeploy all 177,000 naval forces in the Pacific. Additionally, he suggests resuming underground nuclear testing and producing uranium-235 and plutonium-239 metal if China and Russia continue to refuse nuclear arms control negotiations.
