Formosa Plastics, one of the 'Taiwan's Big Four,' held its shareholders' meeting today, where Chairman Hong Fu-yuan stated that the second quarter, being the traditional peak season, is expected to see price rebounds for light oil, petrochemical, and plastic products, leading to improved revenue compared to the first quarter. Looking ahead, Hong is cautiously optimistic for the second half of the year, provided geopolitical tensions and energy prices remain stable. Plans for an AI simulation factory completion next year were also announced to adapt to market demands.
