During a regular press conference held by the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) on June 27, Vice Chairman and Spokesperson Liang Wen-chieh revealed that out of the 10 nominees for King and Queen of Songs, 4 are Chinese artists. A total of 8 Chinese nationals have been nominated for 16 awards at the upcoming Golden Melody Awards, with MAC approving 26 Chinese individuals to travel to Taiwan. The positive impact of cross-strait cultural exchanges was highlighted, with spokesperson Zhu Fenglian expressing support for music and film exchanges between the two sides, aiming for the normalization of cross-strait travel. As the Golden Melody Awards approach, Liang welcomed the bilateral music and film exchanges, anticipating more Chinese individuals may apply to come to Taiwan in the following days.
