Indonesia's inaugural government-funded film grant, Film Matchfund, has selected four projects as its first recipients. These projects include "This City is a Battlefield," "Crocodile Tears," "Samsara," and "Tale of The Land," all receiving funding from Indonesia's Cultural Endowment Fund. Additionally, they have received international support from grants like the Hubert-Bals Fund and CNC Cinema du Monde. The aim is to support Indonesian filmmakers, expand international networks, and produce films that showcase Indonesia's diversity globally. The funding supports co-productions between Indonesian and foreign filmmakers, covering various production-related costs.
