Foxconn Group has issued a five-point statement today in response to reports by Reuters in India regarding employment discrimination, firmly denying the accusations and emphasizing that about 25% of the female employees recruited by Foxconn in India are married, and they absolutely do not tolerate any form of discrimination. The company has taken action to correct issues like removing cooperation with third-party recruitment companies. The Indian government has requested a detailed report on the issue from the state of Tamil Nadu where Foxconn's factory is located.
