A suspect in Kaohsiung named Hsu not only recruited members by offering free tattoos but also deceived young people with promises of high-paying jobs, ultimately sending them to Cambodia to work in gambling and then extorting ransom from their families to release them. The police have apprehended Hsu and 8 other accomplices, transferring them to the district prosecutor's office for investigation under the Prevention and Control of Human Trafficking Act. The group used false promises of providing meals, accommodation, and plane tickets to persuade victims to work in Thailand, while in reality, they were sent to Cambodia for illegal gambling activities and even forced into violent debt collection work.
