Reported 12 months ago

Kirill Gordei, the president of Apelsin Logistics in Hallandale, Florida, has been indicted for allegedly smuggling advanced scientific technology, a mass spectrometer, to Russia. Gordei faces charges related to defrauding U.S. government export regulators and could receive up to 20 years in prison. The indictment states that he conspired to ship the technology to Uzbekistan but intended for it to reach Russia, violating export controls implemented due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
