As electronic devices become more widespread, more children are addicted to the internet, causing parents to make great efforts to prevent their children from going online. A father in France installed a signal jammer at home to stop his child from secretly going online at night, but inadvertently caused the disruption of mobile phone signals in neighboring areas. Using signal jammers privately is prohibited in France, and the father may face legal action and fines. The incident led to complaints from mobile phone users and an investigation by the French National Frequency Agency, resulting in the father being sued for disrupting signals in two neighborhoods.
