In the first round of the French parliamentary election held on June 30th, exit polls showed that the far-right party, National Rally, emerged as the biggest winner with a vote share of around 34%, while President Emmanuel Macron's centrist party only had about 21% votes, placing third among the three major party groups. The final results will be revealed after the second round of voting on July 7th. The election might change France's political landscape, with a predicted voter turnout of 67.5%, marking a new high since 1981.
