Striking workers at the ExxonMobil Chemical France's Port-Jerome-Gravenchon refinery in northern France prevented delivery trucks from leaving with oil products, impacting petrol supply. Approximately 200 workers are striking to protest the planned closure of part of the refinery, leading to the shutdown of chemical manufacturing units including the steam cracker. ExxonMobil reported potential disruptions in supplying products like polyethylene, polypropylene, and resins. The site has incurred losses exceeding 500 million euros ($534.40 million) since 2018 due to being uncompetitive.
