Taipei City police recently received a report of a car parked near the back gate of National Taiwan University where a group of friends were arguing inside, which led to the discovery of a significant amount of drugs in the car emitting a strong odor. Upon further investigation, it was found that the car's license plate was forged as the driver admitted to purchasing it online for 6,000 NT$, after the original plate was suspended. The individuals, who were stopped on Xinhai Road in Taipei, claimed to be driving from Tucheng for a casual ride, but disputes arose due to suspected drug use in the car, leading to the arrest of the passenger for drug offenses, while the driver, surnamed Wang, faces charges for forging documents. The police reminder about the dangers of drugs and the illegalities involved.
