Reported 12 months ago

The US military showcased their 3D printing technology at the RIMPAC military exercise, demonstrating the ability to print iron repair parts needed by all armed services, including stainless steel. This advancement has reduced repair time from 200 days to two days, eliminating the need for ships to dock for maintenance. The equipment can print various materials like copper, aluminum, and bronze, with one example being a 10kg bronze water pipe component produced in 15 hours, compared to the traditional 200-day manufacturing process.
