FSC's New Regulations Implemented: Fubon to Stop Selling 12 Policies in July, Real-Pay Actual-Claim Equalization Fee Rate Becomes History

Reported 11 months ago

FSC is pushing for reform in real-pay actual-claim medical insurance, limiting actual claims to original copies and adopting a loss-sharing mechanism to return insurance payouts to the spirit of 'compensating for damage'. Reports suggest that the implementation of the new real-pay actual-claim insurance regulations may be delayed until at least October 1. In anticipation of this, Fubon Life has taken the first step by planning to stop selling 12 policies in July, marking the end of the real-pay actual-claim equalization fee rate. The company cited the FSC's upcoming regulations and the need to align with the ICS new system as reasons for discontinuing several policies and adjusting the specifications of real-pay medical insurance to annual terms to alleviate future capital deposit pressures. These changes will bring Fubon Life's unique equalization fee rate policy to an end, with all real-pay actual-claim policies being halted after July.
