To meet the growing demand for electronic payments in Taiwan, the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) plans to relax regulations to allow popular platforms like Panda and Uber Eats to directly link their services to the 'Beep' electronic wallet for payments. This expansion is expected to roll out in the fourth quarter of this year. The FSC aims to provide diverse payment options for individuals, promote financial inclusion, and enhance safety measures in line with the increasing trend of contactless economy and digital payment usage.
