The U.S. Federal Trade Commission is considering public comments on petitions from former Pioneer CEO Scott Sheffield and executives from Chevron and Hess Corp to reverse bans on their appointments to the boards of Exxon Mobil and Chevron. These restrictions were initially placed during the companies' acquisitions of other firms, with concerns about coordination with OPEC members. Both Sheffield and Hess denied allegations of collusion, while the FTC's previous chair had enforced these conditions.
