The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has filed a lawsuit against Uber, accusing the company of enrolling users in its Uber One subscription service without their consent and complicating the cancellation process. Customers reported being signed up for Uber One without permission and facing numerous obstacles to cancel the service, particularly close to their billing dates. In response, Uber stated that their cancellation process is straightforward and that they do not charge customers without consent.
