At the graduation ceremony of Fudan University's Law School in China, a Taiwanese graduate surnamed Xia slapped a professor on stage, sparking online discussion. It was rumored that Xia, who had mistakenly hit the professor, is the grandson of a high-ranking member of the Kuomintang (KMT) party. The KMT responded to the allegations, denying any connection with Xia and calling for media and public opinion not to spread rumors. Xia had been previously accepted to study at Peking University's medical school but faced consequences after the incident due to his inappropriate behavior.
