A 52-year-old man surnamed Li in Xizhi District of New Taipei City was apprehended by police after a car chase that ended in a collision with a taxi. Following the arrest, Li started foaming at the mouth and eventually passed away after receiving medical treatment. The taxi driver involved in the collision emphasized Li's robust and resistant behavior, highlighting the efforts made by the police to subdue him. Although Li's death was regrettable, the taxi driver acknowledged that the police had done their best given the circumstances.
