A 52-year-old wanted man surnamed Li fled in his car after being stopped by police in Xizhi District, New Taipei City. After a collision with a taxi, Li was subdued and handcuffed by police, but suddenly started foaming at the mouth and lost consciousness. Despite medical aid, he passed away. Li's father, upon hearing the news, refused to identify the body at the hospital, as Li had abandoned his family for six years due to drug addiction. The cause of death is pending further investigation.
