A man surnamed Li, a wanted fugitive in New Taipei City, was stopped for inspection on the road and ultimately succumbed to a fatal seizure after spitting out foam. The man's father initially refused to identify the body as his son had been absent from home for many years, neglecting his own family. The police had to resort to using force to subdue the man after a car chase and collision, but only applied physical force to prevent escape without targeting vital body parts. Despite administering CPR, Li was pronounced dead at 10:30 pm at Tri-Service General Hospital in Neihu. His cause of death is under investigation by prosecutors.
