During a game at Guaranteed Rate Field, White Sox reliever Garrett Crochet was oddly ejected by umpires during a strange ninth-inning rain delay. The delay, which lasted over an hour, started just before the bottom of the ninth inning with the game on hold due to heavy rain. Crochet's ejection, despite not impacting the game's outcome, marked the first of his career and added to the unusual weather-related incidents the White Sox have faced this season, including a previous rain delay that lasted over three hours.
